EarthScope was a national science initiative exploring the structure and evolution of the North American continent and the physical processes controlling earthquakes and volcanoes. It comprised four research components and a management office. I provided individual identities by swapping the “O” in “scope” for custom icons and adding the acronym for each component. This helped to keep the four groups tied together visually and gave me a device for marketing materials.
